The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and it's one of the largest libraries in the world, whit an almost complete collection of British and Irish newspapers since 1840.
Prior to 1973, the Library was part of the British Museum, and for many years its collections were dispersed in various buildings around central London. The core of the Library's historical collections is based on a series of donations and acquisitions from the 18th century. Many of its treasures are freely available to enthusiasts and researchers.
A small selection of these artworks are present on this site after the philological restoration by the graphic designers of Titus Ars (Rome), thanks to which the colors have become more realistic again, just as the artists of the time had drawn or painted them, with every evidence and as seen in the photo above, before and after the restoration.
